1. Set your account to be private, this way you can control who to follow you and who does not.
2. Not just any follower to follow. If you suspect that your account is not real, just ignore it.
3. Do not click on a shortened URL, unless you know will lead to where.
4. Optional: not to follow or accept follower without photos. The exception to this rule is if you know the person. Some people like to see the photo, but did not like the show.
5. Finally, report any suspicious account or comment to Instagram and follow the Privacy and Safety program them.
